Established in 1948 the Omega ‘Seamaster’ designed for the British navy celebrates Neptune the goddess of the sea (see case embossment) and is Omega’s longest established brand - line.

ITEM 1.

This fine example - has a factory original dial in near mint condition - the crystal a new replacement. The pearlescent -silver dial has applied silver batons and a sweep seconds hand with date calendar. At 34mm (excl crown) the watch is a good size for modern tastes. The steel bezel and screw-back case are in good condition including the iconic Seamaster embossed logo -reflecting the origins of this Omega line.

The signed automatic movement is a chronometer grade 24 jewel caliber 562 with a power reserve of 50 hours and a frequency f = 19800 A/h. First introduced in 1958 this is one of Omega’ s most enduring calibers. The serial number 2302xxxx dates this example to 1966.

The Omega Seamaster is arguably the best-value of the Omega range and increasingly collectible in this condition.

Omega Constellation.

This Omega Constellation (see left) is a similar generation to the moon landing, dating from 1966. The vintage Constellation was Omega’s top of the range chronometer and today remains one of the most iconic and collectible of all vintage watches. A chronometer as opposed to a (stop watch) chronograph, is a watch that has passed stringent timekeeping tests set by the major world observatories (explaining the embossed observatory on the steel case-back).

The watch is a factory original. AT 35mm excl crown the stainless steel case is in good condition and remains a good size for modern tastes. The dial is in excellent condition with a satin silver finish and applied silver batons. The dial is signed Omega Automatic Chronometer Officially Certified Constellation..

The movement is a 24 jewel caliber 561 generally regarded one of the finest automatic watch movements ever made, signed fully automatic chronometer grade. The cal 561 has a power reserve of 50 hours and runs at a frequency of 19800 A/h. Adjusted to five positions and temperature for chronometer accuracy this piece has been newly oiled and adjusted by a master watchmaker. In short this is a very desirable and increasingly collectible watch.

Omega Seamaster

Established in 1948 the Omega ‘Seamaster’ designed for the British navy celebrates Neptune the goddess of the sea (see case embossment) and is Omega’s longest established brand - line.

This Omega Seamaster - is a factory original in good condition retaining its original signed crown. The satin-silver dial with applied gold batons and alernating arabic numerals at 9, 12 and 3 has very faint (but reassuringly authentic) flecking. The subsiduary seconds dial whilst old -style retains a modern feel. At 34mm excl crown the watch is still a good size for modern tastes. The heavy gauge 80 micron 14 carat gold bezel is in near mint condition and the stainless steel screw back case shows little wear.

The signed hand-wound movement is a 17 jewel caliber 268 with a power reserve of 45 hours and a frequency f = 19800 A/h. First introduced in 1939 this is one of Omega’ s most enduring calbers. The serial number 17664131 dates this example to 1961.

The Seamaster is arguably the best-value of the Omega range and increasingly collectible in this condition.

Omega Génève

This fine Omega Génève is a factory original including the Omega signed crown. The silver satin sunburst dial is very clean, and signed Omega Génève, The applied silver markers and sweep second hand complete the very clean overall finish. The 35mm steel bezel (excl crown) and polished screw-back steel case are in good condition showing little sign of wear.

The 17 jewel caliber 601 movement is signed Omega watch co, and the serial number 29213997 dates the watch to 1969. The cal 601 has a power reserve of 48 hours and runs at a frequency of 19800 A/h.

Omega - cal 600

This lovely Omega cal 600 is a factory original excluding an updated replacement crown. The matte silver dial is very clean with applied silver batons and arabic numerals at 9,12,3 and 6. is signed Omega, The 34mm steel bezel (excl crown) and unpolished snap-back steel case are in good condition.

The 17 jewel caliber 600 movement is signed Omega watch co, and the serial number dates the watch to 1961. The cal 600 has a power reserve of 48 hours and runs at a frequency of 19800 A/h.
